Yesterday did not go as planned. We come in to have a sedated echo and return home soon after... not so much. Louise had some trouble coming out of sedation and the doctors thought it best to keep her overnight. I was funny to watch how uncomfortable the nurses were with Louise's screaming. One minute they were caught up in how adorable and sweet she was and once they made her angry and they saw the other side of her they were panicking. I told them not to worry and to move quickly. I am now proactive and warn the nurses before hand and they appreciate this.
Today we awoke to the unpleasant surprise that Louise will be undergoing a cath procedure to get a better look at the heart. Apparently they didn't see what the wanted during the echo. This will mean that she will have to be sedated again and intubated. This will be unpleasant to say the least but it is necessary so that the surgeons are completely prepared for the surgery tomorrow.
I will be using this blog to keep everyone up to date and as my own form of therapy. I hope that these updates will keep you all at ease as well. Please feel free to comment with any questions I know more knowledge helps ease the worry.
